Goal: Improve communication, boundaries, relational insight, and emotional connection in important relationships.

Objectives:
Client will identify relational patterns, attachment needs, conflict cycles, and communication difficulties.
Client will practice assertive communication and boundary-setting.
Client will increase awareness of emotions, needs, and protective responses in relationships.
Client will develop healthier ways to navigate conflict, closeness, repair, or separation.

Interventions:
Therapist will provide psychoeducation on communication, attachment, boundaries, and relational patterns.
Therapist will support exploration of family-of-origin or past relational experiences as relevant.
Therapist will teach and practice communication, validation, and conflict-repair skills.
Therapist will use relational, attachment-based, CBT, or emotionally focused interventions as clinically appropriate.

Goal: Increase ability to identify, communicate, and honor personal needs in relationships.

Objectives:
Client will identify emotional, relational, and practical needs that are difficult to express or prioritize.
Client will explore barriers to expressing needs, including fear of conflict, rejection, guilt, shame, or people-pleasing.
Client will practice communicating needs clearly and respectfully in clinically appropriate situations.
Client will increase ability to tolerate discomfort that may arise when setting boundaries or asking for support.

Interventions:
Therapist will provide psychoeducation on needs, boundaries, attachment patterns, and relational avoidance.
Therapist will use CBT and relational interventions to explore beliefs that interfere with identifying or expressing needs.
Therapist will support role-play or rehearsal of assertive communication and boundary-setting language.
Therapist will help client develop self-compassion and emotion regulation strategies related to relational discomfort.

Goal: Improve ability to manage conflict, repair relational ruptures, and maintain connection during difficult conversations.

Objectives:
Client will identify common conflict patterns, triggers, escalation cues, and protective responses.
Client will practice slowing down, naming emotions, and using regulation strategies during relational distress.
Client will develop skills for active listening, validation, accountability, and repair.
Client will increase confidence in addressing conflict directly while maintaining respect for self and others.

Interventions:
Therapist will provide psychoeducation on conflict cycles, emotional flooding, attachment needs, and repair.
Therapist will teach and practice communication skills such as reflective listening, ā€œIā€ statements, validation, and time-outs.
Therapist will support exploration of past relational experiences that shape current responses to conflict.
Therapist will use role-play, problem-solving, and relational processing to support healthier conflict navigation.
